Bad news arrived at the French national team training camp on Monday. 'Les Bleus' gathered in Clairefontaine to prepare for the friendlies against Germany and Chile as usual every international break.
Antoine Griezmann was one of the team's main attractions, but it all went wrong in the afternoon. The national team reported that the Atletico Madrid player had suffered from an ankle injury and will not take part in the training camp.
Didier Deschamps called up Matteo Guendouzi in his place. However, the No.7 will not be able to continue his streak of consecutive caps for France, which stretched to 84 in a row.
Griezmann underwent medical tests upon his arrival in Clairefontaine but the French national team decided not to take any risks and advised him to leave the training camp and not take any more risks.
