Hertha Berlin came from behind to secure a 1-1 draw with visiting Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga on Sunday, while fellow strugglers Schalke 04 lost at home to 10-man Augsburg. After 25 minutes, Andrej Kramaric scored Hertha Berlin's third, his 10th goal of 13 league matches against Hoffenheim. On the other side of the field, Hoffenheim's defence-first tactics paid off 10 minutes later, as Dodi Lukebakio completed a move after Hertha Berlin lost possession. A decades-old election feud has escalated since Hertha fans voiced their opposition to fellow investors Lars Windhorst and Matthias Künnele as of late, who are at odds over a past club election campaign.
"It's bitter for us to go home with just a point," Hoffenheim midfielder Christoph Baumgartner stated while captain Oliver Baumann remarked, "I'm also not happy."
