Inter extended their lead at the top of Serie A table

Inter Milan thumps Cagliari to take charge in Serie A with a clean 4-0 win to cement their lead at the top of the table with a one-point lead over AC Milan. Inter put on quite a show at San Siro facing the Sardinians. Alessio Cragno denied the hosts many times or else the score would have been double figures at the end of the match. Lautaro Martinez’s brace saw his goal tally move to 10 goals so far in the season while goals from Hakan Calhanoglu and Alexis Sanchez completed the scoresheet.

With the win, Inter has extended their domestic unbeaten run to nine matches and while Milan drew up with Udinese the previous night it allowed Simone Inzaghi's team to take charge in their title chase.
