Japan star Takefusa Kubo denoted his Real Sociedad debut by scoring the only goal of the match in a 1-0 win away to Cadiz in their initial round of the time in La Liga on Sunday. The 21-year-old joined the side after joining Mikel Merino’s side halfway through the first half then the striker demonstrated enough skills on the field for the Basque side to guarantee each of the three points.
Kubo moved to San Sebastian on a five-year bargain deal from Real Madrid, after never figuring out how to break into the first group at the Santiago Bernabeu. The former Madrid player left FC Tokyo in 2019 and has since spent multiple seasons on loan with Mallorca, Villarreal, and Getafe before playing for Mallorca last season.
