Kane contract talks on hold amid Saudi interest

The England captain, who joined the Bavarians in 2023, has scored 123 goals in 129 appearances, and his current deal runs until 2027, meaning he will enter its final year this summer.

Bayern are keen to secure an extension, but discussions have yet to progress. Sporting director Max Eberl confirmed that formal negotiations have not begun, though the club maintains daily contact with Kane. "We await developments to take the next steps," he said, acknowledging the striker's status as one of Europe's most sought-after forwards.

FC Barcelona are also reportedly monitoring Kane as a potential long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski, but Bayern's primary concern lies elsewhere.

Saudi clubs are said to be preparing lucrative offers to lure the striker following the 2026 World Cup, raising alarm within the German club.
