Kobbie Mainoo will make his final England squad for Euro 2024

After a stellar season for United, the 19-year-old was last week included in Southgate's preliminary 33-man roster for the competition in Germany this summer. Mainoo made his league debut in full against Everton in November of last year. Since then, he has made 32 appearances and established himself as a mainstay in Erik ten Hag's midfield.

The midfielder had standout goals in the league against Wolves and Liverpool, but he kept his greatest moment for last Saturday when he scored for his childhood team against Manchester City in the FA Cup final, helping United to a historic 2-1 victory. England's next game is a friendly against Bosnia on Monday. On Friday, they play Iceland at Wembley. A few hours after that game, Southgate needs to announce his final 26-man team that will go to Germany. Expectations are growing that Mainoo will play a significant part for England this summer.
