Lazio defeated Torino 2-0

With goals from Matteo Guendouzi and Danilo Cataldi, Lazio defeated Torino 2-0 on the road to move within five points of the top four in Serie A. Torino had not lost a league game at home since October, but they were down in 10th place because they could not capitalize on their first-half superiority. Returning to domestic competition, Maurizio Sarri's team competed in the UEFA Champions League round of 16.

Antonio Sanabria's goal inside five minutes placed Lazio, who had only triumphed once in their previous four league games, on the back foot. Torino dominated the opening forty-five minutes, but were undone by a recurring lack of attacking threat and were penalized by the visitors' quick start to the second half. Both of these objectives were created by Luis Alberto.
