Leicester City was already missing their key defensive player, Jonny Evans who might be sidelined for a while longer as his foot problem remained evident during Switzerland’s international match. Without the former Manchester United centre-back City’s defensive end is clearly suffering this season.
But now Foxes deal with another setback as their rising-star striker, Kelechi Iheanacho has also sustained an injury while serving his international duty. Playing for Nigeria, the forward was tackled in the first half and had to be substituted out, Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr then stated that the Foxes player might sit out the Sunday match as well, as the extent of his injury remains unknown. Leicester’s current campaign remains disappointing, though they are far worse off in Europe than in Premier League and desperately need their key players to stay healthy.
