Lille lifted their first title in 10 years to end PSG’s dominance

Lille ended Paris Saint-Germain's dominance in Ligue 1 to win the title for the first time in a decade after beating Angers 2-1 on Sunday and grabbed their fifth title, last win came in 2011 before that they won in 1933, 1946, and 1954. PSG failed to grab the title first time since 2017 and Parisians have won seven of the past nine campaigns but Lille proved to be the better club this year.

Lille was great this season with consistent results against the close rivals PSG, Lyon, and Monaco and sported one of the best away records with 43 points from 18 games and conceding just 22 goals. Burak Yilmaz was great this season with six goals in the past five matches. Even though PSG could not win the domestic league but did lift the French Cup this season that too without Neymar.
