Liverpool is in the running with Premier League teams to sign a goalkeeper

In an effort to recruit a backup for first-choice goalkeeper Alisson, Liverpool joined other Premier League teams in the competition to sign Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford. The 21-year-old, who played in 28 Premier League games last season after leaving Manchester City for Burnley in the summer, gave up 62 goals and only had two clean sheets.

Liverpool is keeping a close eye on Trafford in case they decide to hunt for a new goalkeeper in the summer. Since, Caoimhin Kelleher, Liverpool's backup goalie, may not stay with the team in the near future. Adrian, the team's third-choice goalkeeper, is expected to depart this summer as his contract is expiring. The Reds might try to recruit a new goalie so they have a backup option to Alisson.
