Liverpool’s hopes for Champions League increased

Liverpool’s 3-0 victory over Burnley on Wednesday moved the former into the Champions League qualifying spots and took them above Leicester City and went on 4th place with one round left of Premier League. Two minutes before halftime (43’), Roberto Firmino struck the first goal. In the 52nd minute, before a late strike from Alex Oxlade- Chamberlain, Nathaniel Phillips scored a goal and made it 2-0 for Liverpool FC.

After this victory, Liverpool is at a goal difference with Leicester who is in 5th place and the former moved to 66 points while Chelsea is in the third position with 67 points. Dwight McNeil, the Burnley winger, got a great save out of Liverpool keeper Alisson Becker. The third goal for Liverpool was scored by Chamberlain in the 88th minute.
