Olivier Giroud is about to follow in the same footsteps as his compatriot Hugo Lloris. Press claims he has a verbal agreement with Los Angeles FC to sign a contract that would commit him to the Californian MLS franchise until December 2025. The timing is so because, in North America, the football season runs from the beginning of the year to the end, not ending in May as it does in Europe.
The press who brought this agreement to light claims that nothing has been signed yet, but that events could soon come to a head. If so, it remains to be seen whether Milan are willing to release him so that he can settle in the United States as soon as possible or whether they will ask him to stay with the team until the end of the current season.
