Madrid ties with Betis

Toni Kroos, a midfielder, said goodbye to Real Madrid fans during his final La Liga match, a 0-0 draw against Real Betis, on Saturday at the Santiago Bernabeu. The Champions League final between Borussia Dortmund and the Spanish champions is scheduled for June 1 at Wembley which would be their last game of the season.

To cap off an incredible campaign, the Spanish champions' draw with Betis was a forgettable affair. Although Carlo Ancelotti picked a solid team that he will probably start within London the following week, they did not push themselves because there was no real risk of injury. Madrid was undefeated at the Bernabeu and had just one league loss at season's end. Real Madrid's run without a loss in La Liga now stands at 32 games, the longest in the division's history. They also have 95 points for the season, which is their highest total since they achieved the desired 100 under Jose Mourinho in 2011–12.
