Man City beats Nottingham Forest 2-0

Haaland was only picked as a substitute for City's trip to the City Ground since he had missed the previous two games due to injury. However, he was back among the goals in just nine minutes thanks to a usually lethal finish.

With their victory, second-place City closed the distance to league leaders Arsenal to just one point, following their championship rival's 3-2 victory against Tottenham earlier in the day. With 21 goals this season, Haaland's goal moved him ahead of Cole Palmer of Chelsea as the league's top scorer. With four games left to play this season, City will have won four successive titles, including the one against Arsenal.  In the 32nd minute, Josk Gvardiol gave City the lead with a near-post header after Kevin De Bruyne's corner. Chris Wood twice missed clear opportunities for Forest to tie the score with a precise close-range strike.
