Manchester United are ‘hopeful’ that Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be fit in time for the start of the new Premier League campaign later this month, despite suffering an injury in pre-season.
Wan-Bissaka has started all three of United’s pre-season friendlies so far against Derby, QPR and Brentford and has travelled with the squad on a week-long training camp in Scotland.
However, with United’s opening game of the season against Leeds less than two weeks away, ESPN reports that the right-back has been given an individual training programme as a precaution.
There appears to be no urgent concern about the 23-year-old but his condition will undoubtedly be carefully monitored by United staff to give him the best chance of being available to face Leeds.
