Manchester United and Arsenal are vying for Joao Neves

In the summer transfer window, Manchester United and Arsenal are vying for Joao Neves' services from Benfica. Portuguese journalists have supported the playmaker's decision to choose Old Trafford over the Emirates. The defensive midfielder, who is said to be worth £86 million, is just 19 years old, and United desperately needs to recruit a top-tier DM.

In addition to having a premier DM in Thomas Partey, Arsenal spent a lot of money to get Declan Rice away from West Ham United last year. However, Casemiro, their first-choice defensive midfielder at Old Trafford, is beyond his peak and has had a dismal season. Amrabat joined last year on loan from Fiorentina, although his relocation was temporary. As a result, Neves is expected to join with Manchester United because, according to Aguilar, he would fit in "more easily" there than at Arsenal.
