Manchester United search for De Jong alternative

After the departure of Pogba from Manchester United intend to add a big name signing to strengthen their squad ahead of next season. Their main target is Frenkie de Jong.

Last week, it was reported that the English club had offered 85 million euros for the central midfielder. However, the Dutchman intends to stay at Barcelona and reject the offer.

The 'red devils' have begun looking for an alternative if they are unable to finalise De Jong's transfer. 'The Daily Mirror' confirmed that United's board are interested in another talented player.

This time, it is Youri Tielemans, the 25 year-old who is coming off the back of a good season at Leicester City. The Belgian's play is attracting interest from a number of big clubs, including United.

If United fail to sign De Jong, the English side will look to sign Tielemans, who is valued at 54.4 million euros.
