Following a £30 million proposal from Lazio, Manchester United plans to sell Mason Greenwood off to the highest bidder. Greenwood, who scored 10 goals and six assists in 36 games during his successful loan at Getafe last season, is set to depart United permanently this summer. While a permanent transfer to Getafe was never possible, the 22-year-old liked his time in Spain and is now looking to find a new club there.
But it appears that his future could be in Italy as Lazio, according to The Times, made the first move in a developing transfer fight by offering him a contract for £30 million. Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and Juventus are among the teams vying for Greenwood's signing. Borussia Dortmund is also said to be interested. Given the high level of interest and United's lack of urgency to sell, they have a good chance of obtaining the £40 million asking price.
