Mauro Icardi rescued 10-man PSG with a draw at Lorient

A stoppage-time goal by Mauro Icardi saved Paris St Germain from a loss against Lorient on the lowly affair. Lorient stunned the Ligue 1 leaders with a 1-1 draw on Wednesday. Mauricio Pochettino's side has a total of 46 points from 19 matches in Ligue 1 and saw a second-placed Nice climb closer with the 2-1 comeback win against RC Lens. PSG’s Spanish defender Sergio Ramos was sent off the field as the side struggled with one man down against a determined Lorient.

PSG was already without Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, and Marco Verratti, and to make matters more challenging Lorient's Thomas Monconduit gave the side an easy lead with a superb strike. Later when all seemed hopeless, Icardi saved the side from a humiliating loss and salvaged a point.
