Milan is getting closer to signing Strahinja Pavlovic as the runners-up in Serie A get ready for crucial negotiations with RB Salzburg. Milan is optimistic about completing the €18 million deal for Pavlovic, with an additional €2 million in incentives. Salzburg had originally asked for €25 million. The Austrians are now prepared to trade their star center back for €20 million, though, as they have decreased their demands.
Personal conditions have previously been agreed upon by Milan and Pavlovic. The Serbian international accepted the Rossoneri's offer of a multi-year contract because he is eager to join Paulo Fonseca's squad. The 23-year-old is viewed by the Portuguese manager as a crucial defensive reinforcement. Not only would Pavlovic take Simon Kjaer's place at Sa Siro. He would be a better defensive option than what's available now. The three veteran Milan center-backs are all right-footed. Fonseca thinks he could be the final piece needed to finish his jigsaw puzzle at the rear because the player is left-footed.
