Monaco dismisses AC Milan’s opening bid for Fofana

Youssouf Fofana (25), is a French international whose contract with AS Monaco expires in the summer. AC Milan is now trying to work out a deal with AS Monaco to acquire Fofana.

Both sides are in agreement that Fofana's time at Monaco will surely come to an end this summer. The 25-year-old midfield player is hoping to gain his first international experience, but Monaco wants to cash in on him with just one year left on his deal. The former midfield player for RC Strasbourg Alsace is getting closer to AC Milan, who have already finalized all personal agreements. Fofana was originally desired to do for €25 million but, the French team is now open to accepting an offer of €18 million. Milan offered €12 million, a sum far less, but Monaco has turned it down. A deal between the two parties may be finalized next week, indicating that both parties are still optimistic that an agreement will be reached.
