Napoli defeated Udinese 2-1 at Diego Maradona Stadium on Saturday, with Victor Osimhen netting twice. Udinese seized the lead thanks to a magnificent shot from Gerard Deulofeu midway through the first half, before Osimhen scored twice to give Luciano Spalletti's side all three points and keep them level on points with leaders AC Milan, who face Cagliari later. The clinical nature of his finishing was a sight to behold, and the Udinese defense must have been terrified every time he entered their penalty area.
The 23-year-old now has four goals in his previous two games, and Spalletti will be hoping that one of his key players can keep delivering as Napoli push for the title. Victor Osimhen is the first Nigerian player in Serie A history to score ten goals in two consecutive seasons, and the fourth African player to do so, following George Weah, Samuel Eto'o, and Mohamed Salah.
