Franck Kessie, the star of Al-Ahli, is being desired by Napoli coach Antonio Conte, and he may surprise everyone by making a surprise return to Serie A. When Kessie chose not to extend his contract at San Siro in 2022, he was vying for the Milan leadership. He quit the team to play for Barcelona, which turned out to be a disastrous move as he struggled at Camp Nou. He left La Liga after just one season and relocated to Saudi Arabia.
Conte has been a longtime fan of Kessie. He attempted to entice him to Inter four years prior but was unsuccessful. Now with Piotr Zielinski and Diogo Demme out of the picture, the Italian strategist was left to restructure the Partenoei midfield. Kessie, though, won't be cheap. To acquire the 27-year-old, Napoli would probably need to deposit about €15 million into Al-Ahli's bank accounts. Kessie's enormous annual salary of €14 million might cause major problems.
