Nerazzurri keeper will leave Qatar soon

Andre Onana will not play further at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar after a conclusive break with the Cameroon national team coach and President Samuel Eto’o. The Nerazzurri keeper will exit Qatar soon and his World Cup is absolutely finished.

Onana was a surprise omission from Cameroon’s team for their second group stage match against Serbia. A disagreement with national team coach Rigobert Song was the reason for the 26-year-old being dropped. The Cameroonian FA released a statement confirming that the Inter keeper had been temporarily suspended due to his behaviour.

After the disagreement with both Song and also Cameroonian FA President Eto’o, there is not coming back for Onana at this stage. The former Ajax goalkeeper will not be brought back into the squad at any point during the rest of the World Cup and is set to leave Qatar.
