Newcastle United target Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah amidst transfer talks

Nketiah's contract with Arsenal expires at the end of the season, and he has no plans to renew it, citing a lack of playing time as the reason for his desire to depart the Emirates Stadium. Manager Eddie Howe is a great fan of Nketiah's and he wanted Newcastle to attempt to recruit him when his Arsenal contract ends in the summer, but those plans have now been pushed up since Howe needs additional firepower on his team.

Although the Magpies have been aiming to boost their squad and escape relegation this month, they have only been able to seal agreements for Kieran Trippier and Chris Wood thus far. Manager Eddie Howe is still hoping to sign up to four fresh players before the transfer window ends in three days. Nketiah has also attracted attention from Germany and France, but Newcastle is confident of landing the player.
