Nice needed a late penalty to scrape past Metz 1-0

After midfielder Kévin N'Doram fouled him, striker Evann Guessand scored in the 77th minute, coolly throwing custodian Alexandre Oukidja the other way. Referee Stéphanie Frappart disregarded a possible penalty for Metz earlier in the second half following a video check. With just 11 goals allowed in 19 games, Nice's defence leads the league. This contributed to guarantee another shutout for the team. Marseille played a late game at home to fourth-place Monaco, who had nine players remaining at Stade Velodrome after the game, but still had a chance to win it when Russia's Aleksandr Golovin missed a late penalty kick. Marseille ended up drawing 2-2 with Monaco.
