Nice thrashed Montpellier in Ligue 1

In the fifteenth minute, Pepe scored the first goal, and Kephren Thuram-Ulien made it 2-0. Before Teji Savanier scored for the visitors, Wales' Aaron Ramsey set up Pepe for the third and Andy Delort for the fourth. However, Nice triumphed 6-1 as Barkley, who entered the game in the 67th minute, scored twice in the final eight minutes. Barkley, 29, has represented England 33 times. He left Chelsea in August and joined Nice a few days later on a free transfer.

It was Nice's first game following their 1-0 loss to Le Puy Foot 43 in the French Cup's round of 64 on Sunday. With the team now ranked 10th out of 20 in France's premier division, Nice's roster also contains ex-Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel and defenders Joe Bryan and Mads Bech Sorensen, who are on loan from Fulham and Brentford, respectively.
