Nottingham Forest reveal the squad which will face Arsenal in the league opener

Nottingham Forest's roster has been announced by head coach Steve Cooper for this afternoon's Premier League match against Arsenal. For Cooper's team, it is the beginning of a challenging stretch of road games, at the start of the 2023–24 season.

A primary aim for Forest this year is to strengthen their road performance after picking up only one victory on the road last year. They also want to prevent a repetition of their 5-0 thrashing in the same game a year ago. Turner makes his debut right away against his old team. Cooper chooses a three-man defense with Joe Worrall, Willy Boly, and Scott McKenna in front of him, with Serge Aurier and Aina filling the wing-back positions. The midfield is comprised of Ryan Yates and Orel Mangala, with Danilo perhaps providing extra help. The Brazilian will also be tasked with driving forward with Morgan Gibbs-White and Brennan Johnson in what appears to be a 3-4-3 formation.
