Exor, the investment company controlled by the Agnelli family that owns the majority of the share capital of Juventus, announced in a statement that Gianluca Ferrero will be the new president of the club.
"As a business advisor, auditor and board member of several companies, Mr. Ferrero has significant experience and the required technical skills, as well as a genuine passion for the Bianconero club, making him the most qualified person to hold the position", can be read in the note.
The decision comes less than 24 hours after the management led by Andrea Agnelli resigned en bloc, following the scandals in which Vecchia Signora has been involved, as well as other sporting failures.
In this way, the 'Agnelli era' formally comes to an end, after Andrea was the fourth member of the family to preside over Juventus, after his grandfather, Edoardo, uncle, Gianni, and father, Umberto.
