OFFICIAL: Gollini joins on a loan deal with an option to buy

He will join Spurs on loan, who will have the option to make the deal permanent if his performances on the pitch are convincing.

Tottenham kicked off this Saturday 24th July with a signing announcement - they have finally secured the deal of Atalanta goalkeeper Gollini.

"We are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini from Italian side Atalanta on a season-long loan, with an option to make the transfer permanent," Tottenham explained on their social media.

Gollini left his first words as a Spurs player. "Hello guys, hello Spurs fans! I'm so happy to be here, I cannot wait to see you in the stadium. I hope that we have a magic season. See you soon, guys!"

Gollini, who was also rumoured for a move to Atletico, now has a new home. Last season he played 32 matches with Atalanta, numbers which he will hope to better at Tottenham.
