Official: James Rodríguez returns to Europe and signs for Olympiacos

Olympiacos made official, on Thursday, the signing of James Rodriguez, a Colombian star who hours earlier had terminated his contract with Al-Rayyan, a Qatari club. James is thus back in European football two seasons later.

The Greek club, which at the beginning of the season fired Portuguese coach Pedro Martins, did not reveal the details of the transfer, so it is not known how long the Colombian international's contract will last.

It should be noted that James Rodríguez came to the attention of FC Porto, a club in which he was for three seasons before being hired by AS Monaco. The following year, he ended up signing for Real Madrid, having spent six years with the Merengues. He also played for the Germans of Bayern Munich and the English of Everton.
