Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gets new contract that sees him with United till 2024

Manchester United improved their standing this season and compared to last time at the same time in the last season they were 12 points behind. Even if they are running City at this point and do not end up with a trophy this season Solskjaer would still be rewarded. This season United is in the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

While his term with the team is expiring next season but he would be given a new three-year contract, that would see him with the club till 2024 though this leaves certain players disgruntled, first Eric Bailly, who isn't getting many opportunities under Solskjaer. Brandon Williams might be leaving the club on a loan deal. Donny van de Beek has not gotten optimum minutes under Solskjaer. Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial might also be on their way out of the club with Haaland on their radar.
