Olympique Lyonnais defeated Montpellier Hérault SC with a 5-2 victory

Lyon faced Montpellier at the Groupama Stadium with both teams looking forward to securing a win. OL may have crashed Girondins de Bordeaux 6-1 last Sunday, which was their only win in five league games played. On the other hand, Montpellier had lost three of their previous four matches. Lyon was leading through Dembélé, who scored his 16th goal of the season.

Lyon gave a great start to the second half which saw Lucas Paqueta shoot a strong goal in the 47th minute. Going ahead in the 68th minute, Toko Ekambi thrashed his 11th goal of this season into the bottom corner after a ball from Paqueta.
The second-half substitute Stephy Mavididi forced a save from Pollersbeck during the 77th minute but it proved too little with Toko Ekambi adding his shot to the scoreline late in the added time.
