Leeds United striker Raphinha with a superb free-kick answered Leicester City forward Harvey Barnes’ goal to force a 1-1 draw at Elland Road. The Brazilian Leeds winger first fired in the 26th minute to open with a low free-kick that curled past a diving Kasper Schmeichel into the bottom left corner effortlessly. Later Leicester leveled the score within two minutes of Leeds’ goal.
From the penalty corner, Barnes let go a curling right-footed shot past Illan Meslier to silence the roaring home crowd and equalize with 1-1. Later Schmeichel pulled off some fine saves to keep the team in the league while Leicester’s strikers missed plenty of chances to get ahead during the match to end with just one point and 12th on the table with 15 points.
