Premier League: Palace makes a comeback to beat Newcastle 2-1

This is Palace's second consecutive triumph which sees them 15 points away from the relegation zone, while Newcastle on the other hand has lost six of its last seven league matches. Jonjo Shelvey did score early to put struggling Newcastle ahead but in the end, they paid for their defensive feebleness twice with a gap of just four minutes.

Riedewald crushed home an equalizer from 25 meters away in the 21st minute, and Cahill pushed in a free kick with a ground-breaking header to turn into Palace's most seasoned Premier League scorer at 35 years of age.  Palace though will have a hard time in the future without Wilfried Zaha, who left mid-game with a presumed hamstring injury. The misfortune leaves Newcastle in sixteenth spot, not too far away from the relegation zone.
