PSG beat Metz 2-0 in Ligue 1 at Stade Saint-Symphorien

Champions Paris Saint-Germain defeated Metz 2-0 in their season-ending match, and as a result, they will compete in the relegation play-offs to maintain their spot in Ligue 1. After 12 minutes, the game was declared over after Lee Kang-in tucked home Marco Asensio's low cross, five minutes after Carlos Soler's inswinging ball slipped inside Alexandre Oukidja's far post. The Korean striker was first called offside, but VAR determined that he was only a hair behind the final defender.

Though the scoreboard was in danger when Nordi Mukiele struck the crossbar in the first half and Metz's Lamine Camara did the same after a mishit cross at the opposite end, the outcome appeared to be in doubt in this instance. Metz started the match with a play-off slot, which is shared by the third, fourth, and fifth teams in Ligue 2 for the last Ligue 1 position.
