Paris Saint-Germain was hoping to bring in a midfielder in the summer transfer window but both their transfer target Paul Pogba and Eduardo Camavinga did not culminate into an official transfer. The Ligue 1 side understands that an upgrade is of utmost importance for the title chasers but they have no option but to wait for the next summer transfer window and make a bid for AC Milan’s Franck Kessié.
The 24-year-old just has one more year left in his contract with the Serie A club and if the bid for extension is not made by AC Milan, Kessié can start negotiating for a pre-contract in January and hope to secure a move before becoming a free agent. Les Parisiens would also target Paul Pogba, his contract is due to end in 2022.
