PSG required extra-time to defeat a third-tier side in the Coupe de France

Paris Saint-Germain have moved onto the next round of the Coupe de France after defeating Villefranche 0-3, though they had to do so in extra-time.

Despite having Edinson Cavani, Julian Draxler, Kylian Mbappé, Marquinhos and Leandro Paredes all on the pitch, at least in second half, Villefranche were able to take the game beyond the 90 minutes by playing hardly by a strong defence.

It took the Parisians 102 minutes to score the first goal against the third-tier side as Draxler broke the deadlock.

Moussa Diaby and Cavani then easily made the result safe with two goals in six extra-time minutes. The team now moves on to the quarter-finals of the competition.
