PSV target James as possible replacement for Gotze

The number of clubs interested in James Rodriguez continues to rise. After it came to light that both Galatasaray and Botafogo are following him closely, 'De Telegraaf' reports that PSV have turned their attention to him as a possible replacement for Mario Gotze. The German has returned to the Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt.

In principle, the Colombian is open to a change of scenery, although his preferred destination is unknown. The ideal for him, unsurprisingly, would be to sign for one of Europe's top clubs, but at the moment, it doesn't look like that is going to happen. At least not according to the international press.

In the Netherlands, a country where he has never been as a player, he could assume a leading role almost instantly. His experience at elite level would be valued. He had spells at Real Madrid and Bayern Munich before joining Everton.
