Qatar coach at the World Cup farewell: "I don't know if I'll continue..."

Qatar was one of the great disappointments of the 2022 World Cup so far. As host, Qataris achieved the worst record in World Cups, which belonged to South Africa.

At the start of the third and final round of the group stage of the competition, the Qatari team was already eliminated, without any points added. In the last game, they lost again, this time to the Netherlands, who went on to the 'eighth'. At the end of the match, Félix Sánchez, coach of Qatar, made the final assessment of his team's performance in the competition.

"We were able to compete with the best teams in the world, but, unfortunately, we had to turn that into results", he began by saying.

After three defeats and many cries of despair from the bench, the Spanish coach did not guarantee continuity in the position, leaving in the air an exit from his functions.
