RB Leipzig wants to reopen talks with OL and make a fresh offer for Castello Lukeba. Prior to making a new offer for the French U21 international, the Red Bull club is holding off on officially selling Joško Gvardiol to Manchester City, who have apparently reached an agreement for the Croatian. The Lyon academy graduate has already received an opening bid from Leipzig worth reportedly €26 million. Les Gones promptly rejected this offer because they want to keep Lukeba with the team for at least another season.
Due to his involvement in the U21 Euros, Lukeba is currently away from OL's preseason practices and practicing alone in the South of France. The 20-year-old center-back is anticipated to join Laurent Blanc's team on July 24, but with another offer from Leipzig looming, no one is certain of his long-term prospects.
