Real Betis and Getafe stalemate hurts their top four dream 

Real Betis would have to work harder for the Champions League spot this season the recent goalless draw against Getafe did not help matters. Manuel Pellegrini’s side were hoping to lock down the top-four finish after their Copa del Rey triumph which would be their first appearance at the Champions League since 2005. Four more matches are left in the season and they still trail fourth-place Atletico Madrid on the table.

Visitors wasted away plenty of chances at Estadio Coliseum Alfonso Perez, David Soria later denied German Pezzella and Nabil Fekir’s efforts went wide as well. Getafe was glad to even add a valuable point at the end of the match as Quique Sanchez Flores’ team climbs closer to surviving in the top-flight tournament.
