In 2019, Braithwaite was able to join the first squad at Carlisle United after moving up through the ranks. The youthful defender was recruited by Everton a year later. The centre defender played on loan at PSV Eindhoven during the previous campaign. He participated in 36 games and provided an assist on six goals throughout his incredible loan period.
