Real Madrid defeated Napoli in a thrilling Champions League matchup 3-2

At the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, Real Madrid defeated Napoli in a thrilling Champions League matchup, 3-2, with Jude Bellingham's outstanding effort taking the stage. Both sides came out strong in the first minutes of the game, taking advantage of the unfriendly environment in Naples that had just been shaken by a string of earthquakes. Leo Ostigard's goal in the 19th minute gave Napoli the early advantage after Kepa Arrizabalaga made a mistake. However, Real Madrid quickly equalised the scoring as Vinicius Jr. pounced on Bellingham's assist.

Nacho Fernandez's handball resulted in a penalty that Piotr Zielinski converted in the second half to help Napoli get back into the game. Late in the game, Federico Valverde fired a thunderous shot that smacked against the crossbar and went in off Alex Meret's arm, providing the game's deciding moment.
