Real Madrid with a 4-1 win away to Granada on Thursday night put huge pressure on La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid
A draw or defeat could have given the table toppers the chance to seal the title this weekend after Barca dropped points on Tuesday, but with 2 goals in each half Real Madrid seized three points.
Luka Modric scored an opener for Real Madrid in the 17th Minute and Brazilian forward Rodrygo made it 2-0 for Real Madrid two minutes into stoppage time at the end of the first half. For Granada, Jorge Molina scored one goal to pull back in the 71st minute, Alvaro Odriozola responded in the 75th minute, however, to restore Real Madrid’s 2 goal advantage and soon Karim Benzema scored to make it 4-1.
Now Real Madrid is two points behind the table-toppers Atletico with 2 games left, two clear of Barcelona and four of Sevilla.
