After a brief back-and-forth with Lorenzo Pellegrini, Tommaso Baldanzi cleared the bar off the outside of the boot. Though Bryan Cristante was able to take a direct shot at Josip Martinez following the restart, Retegui and Cristante were unable to maintain their pressure. Ndicka raced between defenders to knock down the Retegui attempt, and Stephan El Shaarawy curled wide after a nutmeg.
