AS Roma climbed fourth on the table after thrashing Torino by 3-1 after witnessing the top three teams on the table drop points on Wednesday, Sassuolo, Napoli, and Juventus. Paulo Fonseca made chances to the midfield/attack area before heading into the clash, they had a full squad with Pedro, Lorenzo Pellegrini, Gonzalo Villar, Jordan Veretout.
While the ref was busy handing cards during the match, Wilfried Songo left Torino stranded as they had to defend against Roma with a 10 men squad for more than 75 minutes left on the clock. Roma took complete advantage of the fact, Henrikh Mkhitaryan opened for them in 27th minute, Jordan Veretout later converted a penalty in the 43rd minute and Lorenzo Pellegrini completed their rout in the 68th minute to have Roma rise to a comfortable win. Andrea Belotti though did strike for Torino once in the 73rd minute but could not hold Roma back.
