Romania today won Group E of the 2024 European Championship, beating Ukraine by an impressive 3-0, in a match played at the Allianz Arena, in Munich, Germany.
Nicolae Stanciu, in the 29th minute, Razvan Marin, in the 53rd, and Denis Dragus, in the 57th, sealed the victory for the Romanians, who had only one triumph in their previous five European appearances, when, on June 20, 2000, they beat England by 3-2.
In the Group E classification, Romania, which only got beyond the group stage in 2000, leads with three points, while the Ukrainians are at zero, for now like Belgium and Slovakia, who face each other today in Frankfurt.
