Search for Ancelotti’s successor still goes on

Everton came close to signing former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo after Carlos Ancelotti returned to Real Madrid. The Toffees have since been on the lookout for a new manager. Ancelotti left the club after their underwhelming performance this season which ended with a 10th place finish

Nuno was favored to join the club after he ended his four-year stint with Wolves who were 13th at the end of the season after they were plagued with injuries. Everton could sign Nuno for £17.17m which includes initial pay as well as bonuses. He is facing tough competition from former boss David Moyes who is competing for the job alongside ex-Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez. Ligue 1’s Christophe Galtier is also on the list of prospects. They need to make a decision soon as the time is running out.
