Inter Milan kept up the pressure on Serie A's top two teams with a 2-0 victory over Venezia. In the first half, Hakan alhanolu scored, and Lautaro Martnez clinched the victory with a stoppage-time penalty. Inter drew to within two points of AC Milan and Napoli in third place.
Napoli will host Lazio, while Milan will host Sassuolo. Venezia stayed six points clear of relegation. Inter was confident going into the trip to Venice, having won five of its previous six games, including a midweek triumph over Shakhtar Donetsk to qualify for the Champions League knockout stages for the first time in ten years. Both teams struggled to produce chances in the first half on Saturday, with Inter's greatest chance coming in the 30th minute when Venezia goalkeeper Sergio Romero parried an Ivan Perii header.
